Top 20 New Features in iOS 16, Swift 5.7, and Xcode 14
IOS 16 is finally here along with Swift 5.7, Xcode 14, and myriad new frameworks and APIs. As usual, blogs are full of posts about various updates, and mine is just another one. This year has been so reach in novelties for Apple platforms developers, so I just couldn’t stand by.

#20. Developer Mode
Starting from iOS/iPadOS 16 and watchOS 9, developers are required to enable a special feature on their devices to run locally installed apps—Developer Mode. Although it might not look particularly interesting, I’ve always admired Apple’s efforts in building a safer environment for their users. So, next time you build your app with Xcode 14 and run it on a real device, don’t be surprised with a popup!

#19. Focus Filters
Starting from iOS/iPadOS 15 and macOS 12 Monterey users can configure focus settings on their devices. This, for example, lets them filter notifications from work-related applications during the leisure time.
