I see the point, but it's kinda sad. The evolution in the software development field last 30 years, agile methodologies and all those talks about cross-functional teams only resonate in programmers' hearts, but not recruiters' or hiring managers'. I'm there, too, trying to prove that I'm a professional engineer and trained to find solutions to the business problems, instead of learning a limited number of solutions to a predefined set of problems by heart.
